A very fortunate group of ladies were treated to a special event in April - former WTA Pro and Hall of Famer Gigi Fernandez conducted a 5 hour Master Doubles tennis clinic at Jersey Shore Junior Tennis Academy in Middletown, NJ!

The clinic consisted of an hour of off-court instruction on the basic concepts of Doubles play and the mental aspects of the game, followed by lunch and 3 hours of on-court instruction! What a fantasic opportunity! No wonder everyone is smiling!

Jersey Shore Junior Tennis Academy provides expert tennis instruction to young, aspiring players from ages 7 to 17. For information on the programs offered, please contact Erica at Erica@jerseyshorejuniortennis.com.

Gigi Fernandez, an American former WTA Professional player born in Puerto Rico, is the first Puerto Rican born athlete to win an Olympic Gold Medal, and the first to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. She currently promotes mastering Doubles play through "The Gigi Method", and conducts tennis clinics around the country.

Gigi is scheduled to coach the New York Empires this summer, so look for her on The Tennis Channel!
