New Jersey High School Tennis Officials Class



The New Jersey High School Tennis Officials Association (NJHSTOA) will be holding a class for new officials on Saturday, March 16th.  Upon completion of the one-day class, attendees will become New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) certified tennis officials.  Officials are needed for county and invitational tournaments, and state team matches.  Pay for tournaments is $85 for the first 3 hours and $25 each additional hour.  For the state team matches the pay is $75 to $120, depending on the tournament's round and the number of courts used.


Requirements are the following:  1. Must be 18 years of age.  2. Basic knowledge of tennis rules.  3. Complete and send in the application.  4. Attend the one-day new officials class.  5.  Have one "on-court" experience.


The class will be taught by me and will be held at the Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness Club in New Providence.  The class will begin at 9 a.m. and should finish by 4 p.m.  For an application and further information about the class please visit
