USPTA Tennis Professionals from New Jersey Recognized for their Contributions

USPTA Tennis Professionals from New Jersey Recognized for their Contributions

On May 17th, the United States Professional Tennis Association's Eastern Division recognized a few New York and New Jersey tennis professionals with awards. Three USPTA pros from New Jersey were recognized.

Jeff Rothstein received the USPTA Eastern's 2009 Professional of the Year. This award recognizes a USPTA member who, over a career, has demonstrated exemplary achievement in seven areas, including: contributions to the USPTA and USTA; as a teaching professional, player and coach; in education, research and publications; and with other organizations, achievements and contributions. Jeff is a teaching professional, QuickStart tennis specialist and tournament director at Centercourt Athletic Club in Chatham, NJ.

Clay Bibbee received the USPTA Eastern 2009 Facility Manager of the Year award. Clay is the Managing Partner and the High Performance Tennis Academy Director at Centercourt Athletic Club in Chatham, NJ. Centercourt has 20 tennis courts, 4 paddle tennis courts, a pool, fitness center, a clubhouse, pro shop and other athletic facilities. Clay helped spearhead a significant increase in both junior and adult programming, membership and event planning.

Steve Diamond received the USPTA Eastern's 2009 Regional Volunteer of the Year award for New Jersey. This award recognizes a USPTA member who volunteers their time and efforts to benefit their USPTA Region. Steve has made significant contributions which benefitted the USPTA and their members. Steve is the Director of Tennis at the Green Brook Country Club in West Caldwell, NJ and is a staff professional at the Knoll Tennis Club in Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Steve has been a past winner of the USPTA Eastern Pro of the Year as well as the USPTA Alex Gordon National Pro of the Year.
