Piscataway, NJ - Brilliant sunshine! Gorgeous courts! Eager players!

Those are the operative phrases that describe the NJ Region's Adult and Family Tennis Festival that took place on Saturday, June 9 at Johnson Park in Piscataway.

The weather could not have been better - 80's, low humidity, with a refreshing breeze. With an 11AM start, the Festival really kicked in at aound 1:00, and by 2:00 all five courts were filled with eager and excited participants of all ages!

In addition to NJ Region President Lou Wiggs and NJ Board members Ken Goldsmith, Bob Bynum and Ron Thomas, USTA Eastern's NJ Adult League Coordinator Hazel Rodney was also on hand to assist, and there were also a number of volunteers who helped with setup, on-court assistance, and breakdown at the end of the day. Free prizes were distributed, snacks and refreshments were available on site, and free tennis instruction was given.

A fantastic time was had by all!

Sincere thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and effort to make this event another success!

The NJ Board is already busy planning the next event, so stay tuned!
